Packages are available which allow you to enjoy an enthralling jet boat ride over braided streams and through the scenic Rakaia Gorge in lure of the Chinook King Salmon or the brown and rainbow trout.

The Rakaia River has the largest runs of King Salmon in New Zealand with its tributaries holding some of the finest trout and salmon fishing available in the Canterbury High Country.
The Rakaia River is only a 10 minute drive from Methven.
Fishing license is $21.00 per person per day (2008-2009 season).
