Other works are inspired by our amazing forever changing New Zealand scenery especially the stormy skies and our local views.
While Karen is a full time artist, she teaches to inspire and guide others in their art to develop skills and gain inspiration. Her art classes, workshops and art retreats offer subjects for all levels, diverse styles and mediums.
Karen has been exhibiting her work for more than ten years at galleries all around the the South Island. Her work has been displayed at such locations as Hanmer, Akaroa and the Christchurch Art Centre. Karen’s talents have also earned her a number of prestigious awards. Most recently she received the 2012 Premier Art Award at the Hope and Sons Art Awards.
‘The Motatapu’ opens on Friday 3rd May at the Methven Heritage Centre Art Gallery with an evening event from 5.30-6.30pm. The exhibition will be on display daily until the 3rd of June.
