Tandem Skydiving over Methven and Mt Hutt

The Methven region is proud to now have Skydivingnz.com permanently based at the Pudding Hill airstrip, just a few minutes out of Methven. As well as providing tandem sky dives, the business also operates the New Zealand Skydiving School (formerly Christchurch Parachute School) and they are New Zealand’s longest established skydiving school with more programmes, facilities and experience than any other in the country. These guys really know what they are doing!!
The recent move to Methven for Skydivingnz.com has resulted in an increase in tandem skydiving numbers with customers preferring the location & world class scenery. In 2009 the skydiving school also experienced a 100% increase which reflects the reputation it has developed for training high quality skydivers. To cater for these numbers Skydivingnz.com has upgraded its aircraft to a much larger Cessna Caravan, the only one of its type used for skydiving in New Zealand. This will take up to 7 tandems per load or 15 skydivers & a much faster flight time. With the new aircraft, the company now offers the 15,000ft option in addition to 12,000 feet, which is proving to be very popular with the customers. This skydive requires oxygen & gives a minute of 200kmph freefall.
You need to allow 2-3 hours of your time for the experience of a life time. Tandem skydiving is available 7 days per week, all year. There are no age limits, however, you will need a parent or guardian’s consent if you are less than 16 years old. Your weight must not exceed 100 kg’s.
